In Saturday’s Athletic Action.......The Girls Varsity Water Polo Team (2-1) beat ATM at their “Senior Game” 20-3. Sabrina Morata led the way with 5 goals, 2 assists, and 6 steals, Sophia Guarini made 5 saves, Chloe Cartledge added 2 goals, 5 assists, and 8 steals, Senior Zeina Bazzi had 3 goals and 2 steals, Senior Carolina Ortegon had 2 goals and 4 steals, Valeria Villanueva added 3 goals, and Tatiana Blasky, Daniella Judge, Brianna Dunn, Heather Peroe, and Emily Wolk all scored. The Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team (2-0) beat Archbiship McCarthy 12-5. Davis Lubetsky led the way with 16 saves, Milan Luciano had 4 goals and an assist, Beck Trafton added 2 goals and an assist, James Deering had 2 goals, Ben Malamed added 2 assists, Romain Vinois and Evan Hurwitz each had a goal and 2 assists, Mikey Port and Josh LeHockey each scored, and Noah Gaudet played well. The Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Team (3-2) lost to Gulliver 30-13. Matthew Finvarb led the way with 5 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds, Jake Sheppard added 3 points, and Julian Erez grabbed 4 rebounds. The Boys Varsity Water Polo Team (1-5) lost to on our “Senior Game” ATM 22-7 and lost to Hialeah 10-9. Senior Riccardo Di Giuseppe had 4 goals, 9 saves, 3 assists, and a steal, Michael Bernstein had 4 goals, 6 assists, and 2 steals, Kenneth Barrett added 4 goals, 1 assist, and 1 steal, Jake Grossman and Stuart Browning each scored, Evan Miller added 3 goals, an assist, and 2 steals, and Luca Grendene added an assist. The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (6-8-1) lost to SLAM Academy in the Regional Semifinals 1-0. Stefano Dumas, Victor Destri, Enzo Lagrassa-Gillet, Michael Puglise, Gerardo Pantin Escudero, Lucas Hansen, Lucas Crespo, and Agustin Kohen all played well. The Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team (2-4) lost to Gulliver 34-17. Nicholas Sukhdeo led the way with 6 points and 7 rebounds, Joab Ivo Belarmino Neto had 4 points and 9 rebounds, and Max Toyos added 3 rebounds and a steal. The Girls Junior Varsity Lacrosse Team (0-1) lost to Cardinal Gibbons 4-2. Nicole Rivero led the way with 2 goals, Maria Carstensen had 10 saves and an assist, Ella Gilderman had 4 forced turnovers, and Mikaela Tolles added 3 forced turnovers. The Middle School Water Polo Team (0-3) lost to Gulliver 16-7. Leni Saltos led the way with 4 goals, and Leni Zenatti, Miguel Escobar, and Leonardo Blaya all scored. The Girls Middle School Basketball Team (0-3) lost to Gulliver 36-18.
Today......The Middle School and Boys Varsity Water Polo Teams travel to Belen at 3:30/5pm, the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Palmer-Trinity at 4:30pm, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Palmer Trinity in their annual “Senior Game” at 7pm, and the Boys and Girls Middle School Cross Country Teams travel to Palmer-Trinity at 4:30pm.
In Tuesday’s Events.......The Girls Varsity Soccer Team travels to Westminster Christian in the Regional Finals at 3:30pm, the Boys Varsity Basketball Team hosts Chaminade in the Regional Semifinals at 7pm, and the Varsity Baseball Team travels to Greer Park to play Riviera Prep at 3:30pm.
