Building a Vibrant Community While Valuing Individuality
Nurturing Students…
An essential element of our education at MCDS is our dedication to educating the whole child: developing their intellectual, physical, aesthetic, social, emotional and spiritual potential. Our focus on social and emotional is crucial to that approach. Our Kinder to College mentorship program connects seniors with the youngest members of our community for mentorship and to serve as a “big buddy".
…and Supporting Parents
Partnering with parents, we provide support, resources and counseling to guide students in attaining the knowledge and skills to respect themselves and others. Parents find community in our school with our Country Day Networking Hours. Your child is in good hands with our faculty and staff members, 58 of whom have served over 10 years at MCDS. For further fun, learning and convenience, PK3 through 5th grade students can join one of our many after school clubs.
The Miami Country Day School path begins with our PK3, JK4, and SK5 students. What are they into? How does curriculum work to nurture their passions? Find out this and much more as children get ready to be successful!
How do you define leadership? Inspiring others? Listening to other people's perspectives? Learn more about how Lower School students at Miami Country Day find motivation to become lifelong leaders.
Why are things the way they are? Pretty profound! Miami Country Day encourages all children to be more curious. Children develop social emotional awareness and acquire skills that set them apart in their life journey.
Freedom to choose your classes make you a more well rounded person. Find out how Miami Country Day is like a small college campus that provides an environment that not only prepares all students, but gives them practical experience to maximize their ongoing success.
We know the power of creativity and innovation, so we give our Spartans the tools to pursue their ideas. We offer 3D printing, robotics, virtual reality and STEM in a space where kids come to create, build and explore.
The COEP program challenges students in academic skills, outdoor and physical tasks and leadership development through hands-on experience. Students learn camping skills, how to use a compass, first aid and survival skills.
X-Term allows Upper School students to explore passions not found in traditional curriculum, pursuing opportunities on campus, in Miami and at other domestic and international locations.
The ACES program is for PK3 through 4th grade students to explore Earth’s biodiversity and environmental issues through hands-on activities and develop lifelong skills.
Miami Country Day does not discriminate on the basis of age, ethnicity and race, family status, gender, geographic origin, learning styles, mental or physical ability, religion, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status. The school recognizes, respects and celebrates the diversity of backgrounds, outlooks, and talents individuals bring to its community.
