Miami Country Day School is an independent, private day school offering a world-class College Preparatory program for children entering PK (3 years old) to 12th grades. 
Our state-of-the-art, 22-acre campus is centrally located in Miami Shores. Here, students explore their interests through our challenging academics and unique educational and extra-curricular opportunities in the arts, sports, world languages, science, literature, after school activities and study abroad experiences.

How do I apply?

Click here to begin your child’s application today. You can create a username and password to access your “My Country Day” account, where you will be able to monitor the progress of your child’s application to the school. The fee to apply is $200. 

How do I schedule a tour of the school?

Are school tours only in English?

We have a diverse group of faculty, parents ambassadors and student ambassadors representing more than 33 countries, allowing the admission office to offer tours in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French, to name a few. 

When does the school year begin and end?

We follow the Northern Hemisphere school calendar. Our school year begins around the end of August and ends the last week of May each year. 

What documents will I need to provide during the application process?

During the application process, you will need to provide your child's academic records with their most recent and previous school year's grades. If the records are in a language other than English, we kindly request a translated copy be submitted along with the originals.
Recommendation forms (provided by Miami Country Day School) are requested from your child's current school, in addition to a copy of the child's birth certificate. Your designated MCDS Admission Officer will review the admission process with you in detail once we receive your child's application.

How much is the school tuition?

The tuition rates vary by grade and are charged annually. Click here to view our current tuition rates and fees. Students that require additional English language support may have additional costs for English language tutoring offered through our Student Success Network tutors, which are hosted on our campus.  

Is Miami Country Day School a SEVP certified school?

Miami Country Day School is authorized under federal law to enroll nonimmigrant alien students and to issue the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) Form, I-20, to qualified students wishing to study in the United States under an F-1 VISA. 
International students must comply with all federal regulations before an I-20 can be issued. Such requirements include but are not limited to: demonstration of English proficiency, proof of financial resources, and all of the admission requirements met for Miami Country Day School. Additional fees will be incurred at SEVP. Click https://www.ice.gov/sevis for more information on SEVP.
