Applications for the 2022-2023 school year are now available online. 

Miami Country Day School currently has waitlists in every grade for the 2021-2022 school year. Contact admissions to learn more about applying for the waitpool. 

How to become a Spartan?

During the admission process, you will meet people that will help shape your family’s future at Miami Country Day School. Our personal approach to the admission process allows us to get to know your family and explore why MCDS is the top choice for so many families. Together we ensure our mission and core values match your vision for your child’s educational journey. Our admissions application takes 20 minutes to complete. Step 2

Schedule your parent interview. Let’s get to know each other better. Share your family values with us during your interview with an Admission Officer or a Country Day Alum. Contact your admission officer or our main admission number. Interviews are offered via skype or in person.

Step 3

Schedule your Child’s playdate

Step 4

Provide the principal and current teacher recommendation forms (available in your electronic checklist) and previous and current year’s report cards.

Schedule your child's admission assessment. Applicants to 5th grade should register to take the Independent School Entrance Exam

Step 4

Provide the principal and current teacher recommendation forms (available in your electronic checklist) and previous and current year’s report cards.

Step 2

Schedule your parent interview. Let’s get to know each other better. Share your family values with us during your interview with an Admission Officer or a Country Day Alum. Contact your admission officer or our main admission number. Interviews are offered via skype or in person.

Step 3

Schedule your child’s admission testing. We prefer the Independent School Entrance Exam but also accept the Secondary School Admission Test .

Step 4

Provide the principal and current teacher recommendation forms (available in your electronic checklist) and previous and current year’s report cards.

Step 1

Complete the online application to get started. There are very limited spaces available in our Learning Resources Program, so we encourage you to complete the process as soon as possible. To learn more about our Learning Resources Program click here.

Step 2

Provide a current psycho-educational evaluation (completed within two years). The Learning Resource Program is designed for students with above-average intelligence and a diagnosed language-based learning difference.

Step 3

Provide the principal, English and math teacher recommendation forms (available in your electronic checklist) and previous and current year’s report cards.

Step 4

We will contact you to schedule your parent interview and your child’s visitation day.
