Wednesday, November 20, 2019:

In Tuesday’s Athletic Events.....The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (1-2) beat iMater Academy 5-1. Erik Pantin led the way with 2 goals and an assist, Enzo Lagrassa-Gillet had 2 goals, Marcel Pantin Escudero scored, Pedro Levi and Lucas Hansen each added assists, Ethan White played well on defense, and Joseph Bassett made 5 saves. The Boys Middle School Soccer Team (1-2) lost to Gulliver 4-1. Jhonny Mercado scored, and Diego Corigliano, Romeu Szulc, and Diego Rodriguez all played well.  The Boys Varsity Basketball Team lost to Somerset North in a pre-season game at the buzzer 61-60. Jordan Cooke led the way with 23 points and 4 assists, Jasai Miles had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Izzy Kohen added 10 points and 7 rebounds. The Girls Middle School Soccer Team (0-3) lost to Gulliver 4-2. Maggie Houser made 17 saves in her 1st game in goal, Senna Trafton and Ariana Clarke each scored, and Briana Dunn, Maryam Rassif, and Jackie Fischer all played well.  The Girls Varsity Soccer Team (0-4) lost to Archbishop McCarthy 8-0.
 
Today......The Boys Varsity Basketball Team travels to Archbishop McCarthy to play Pine Crest in a pre-season game at 5pm.
 
On Thursday.......The Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts the Benjamin School at 7pm, the Girls and Boys Middle School Soccer Teams travel to Palmer-Trinity at 4:15pm, and the Girls Varsity Basketball Team begins their regular season by hosting Nova High School at 7pm.
 
Fall Sports Awards Ceremony.......Our Fall Sports Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 4, at 6:30pm. This ceremony should only last about 30-45 minutes, so please join us in celebrating the outstanding accomplishments our of Fall student-athletes and coaches.
 
Spartan Hall of Fame “Class of 2021”- The Miami Country Day School Alumni Association established the Spartan Athletic Hall of Fame to honor those individuals who have achieved a high level of success during their careers as student-athletes, coaches or through other significant accomplishments to the Miami Country Day School athletic program.
