In Monday’s Athletic Action...........The Varsity Volleyball Team (4-3) beat Carrollton 5 sets 25-19, 16-25, 20-25, 25-14, 15-10. Ashley Michelin led the way with 27 assists, 17 digs, and 5 kills, Carolina Ortegon had 9 kills and 2 blocks, Francesca Malo added 27 receptions, 12 digs, and 2 assists, Rianna Washington had 9 kills and 4 blocks, and Sasha Vaygensberg had 7 kills, 4 blocks, and 4 digs. The Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (4-2) beat Carrollton 25-17, 25-18. Tiana Tolles led the way with 7 kills, 8 digs, and 1 ace, Isabella Possin had 8 assists, 5 aces, 18 digs, and 1 kill, and Sienna Rosenberg added 4 assists. The Junior Varsity Volleyball Team (1-1) lost to Carrollton 25-10, 25-18. Hailey Asseus and Lauren White each had 3 service points, Barbara Lins had 15 receptions and 6 digs, and Brisel Cabrera added 3 digs and 1 kill. The Middle School (JV) Volleyball Team (3-3) lost to Carrollton 3-25, 25-20, 4-15. Bianca Malatesta had 2 kills, 2 assists, and 1 ace. The Girls Golf Team hosted Divine Savior at the Miami Shores Country Club. Alex Pool led the way with a 39 and Sabrina Cabarcos added a 46.
Today......The Boys and Girls Varsity Swim Teams travel to Ransom Everglades at 4pm, and the Boys Golf Team travels to Westminster Christian (Biltmore Country Club) at 4pm.
On Wednesday.....The Girls Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball Teams host St. Andrews at 3:30/5pm.
Winter Sports
Please see each Winter sport listed below for practice start dates and coaching information. All game and practice schedules will be posted on the Miami Country Day School athletic website at www.miamicountryday.org.
