Monday, April 16, 2018:

Late Thursday…..The Boys Varsity Water Polo Team (12-9) beat Columbus 15-9.  Riccardo Di Giuseppe led the way with 23 saves, Zachary Smith added 4 goals and an assist, Eric Bernstein had 3 goals and 3 steals, Juan Martin Caro had 2 goals, 3 assists, and 3 steals, Zach Charalambides, Sebastian Rodriguez-Fermin, Arie Sternberg, Ricardo Stamatis, Romeo Curcio, and Jake Grossman all scored.   
 
In Friday’s Athletic Action…….The Varsity Lacrosse Team (6-9) beat Palmer-Trinity 18-0.  Noah Markofsky led the way with 4 goals and 2 assists, Alex Sayfie had 2 goals and 2 assists, Zachary Hart added 2 goals and an assist, John Sayfie scored 2 goals, Richie Lovelace, Romain Vinois, and David Burger each had a goal and an assist, Noah Florin added a goal and 2 assists, Noah Reines had a goal and 4 assists, Matthew Hanson, James Dunbar, and Danny Strouse all scored, and Josh LeHockey played well. The Boys Middle School Tennis Team finished 3rd in the South Florida Middle School Conference Championships.  Max Castanon advanced to the semifinals in #1 singles, Efe Deniz was runner-up in #4 singles, Luca Donayre was runner-up in #5 singles, and max and Lucas Chemla were runner-up in doubles.  The Varsity Baseball Team (9-7) lost to Coral Shores 6-3.  Austin Pollak doubled and scored 2 runs, and Zac Wyka, Kian Andersen, and Myles Berlowitz all drove in a run. 
 
On Saturday…..The Middle School (Varsity) Lacrosse Team (4-6-1) beat Palmer-Trinity in the South Florida Middle School Conference play-in game 4-2.  Daniel Estupinan and Tyler Walsh each scored 2 goals, James Brill and James Deering added assists, and Jose Garcia, JP Lopez, and Pedro Rusconi all played well.  They lost to Gulliver in the Semifinals 9-3.  Daniel Estupinan had a goal and an assist, Austin Eismont and Milan Luciano each scored, James Brill added an assist, and Rainen O’Kurley and Julian Chariff each played well.  Congratulations to Tyler Walsh and Noah Gaudet, who were each named to the All-Conference Team.  The Middle School Baseball Team (3-12) lost to Marathon 14-4 and 16-9.  Jake Wyka led the way with 4 hits and threw our 3 base-runners attempting to steal, Timmy Houser added 3 hits and 2 RBI, Dario Martin added 2 hits, Nate Giovannucci had a hit and drove in a run, and Avi Murphy, Yoav Haiat, and Tanner Sennett all singled.  The Water Polo results will be in Tuesday’s update.
 
In Today’s Events……The Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Teams participate in Districts all day at Arthur Snyder Tennis Center, and the Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Belen in the District Semifinals at 7:30pm.
