Middle School

iBelong
Michael Fallik and Barbara Byrne, Co-Sponsors
  • The year starts with discussion among the Middle School faculty about how to move forward with iBelong. Mike Fallik and Barbara Byrne lead this discussion
  • Middle School peer counselors meet with Mike Fallik and Barbara Byrne to select topics for discussion
  • The iBelong coffeehouse is scheduled roughly once monthly to discuss and work through a selected topic. This takes place during lunch and hot chocolate is served. The peer counselors are essential to this as they work with small groups and lead the discussion
  • Topics that are discussed are followed up in seminar classes at each grade level.
  • Advisors follow-up on topics discussed in advisory.
  • Each year we build on how to further advance the idea and build it more into an everyday mindset. For example, we are putting out the iBelong logo more and more so the kids and parents are constantly thinking about what it means.
