In Wednesday’s Athletic Action......The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (6-7-1) beat Pine Crest in the Regional Quarterfinals 2-0. Enzo Lagrassa-Gillet and Victor Destri each scored, Chris Capote recorded the shutout and saved a penalty kick, Agustin Kohen and Michael Puglise each added assists, and Lucas Crespo, Enzo, and Michael played well on defense. The boys travel to SLAM Academy (site and time to be determined) on Saturday in the Regional Semifinals. The Varsity Baseball Team (1-0) beat Doctors Charter 7-6. Dhillon Murphy threw six strong innings for the win, allowing 3 hits, striking out 10, and driving in a run, Zac Wyka went 2 for 3 with an RBI, run scored, and recorded the save with 3 strikeouts, and Tanner Sennett walked twice and scored twice. The Boys Middle School Tennis Team (3-2) beat Riviera Prep 6-1. Matthew Giovannucci and Vitorio Hoepers Balsini each won their singles match, and Eitan Deen and Phillip Wigoda won their doubles match. The Girls Middle School Tennis Team (3-3) lost to Riviera Prep 7-0. The Boys Varsity Water Polo Team (1-3) lost to Belen 21-10. Michael Bernstein led the way with 9 goals, Riccardo Di Giuseppe had 6 saves and 2 steals, Stuart Browning added a goal and an assist, and Luca Grendene and Jake Grossman each had an assist. The Middle School Water Polo Team (0-3) lost to Belen 17-7. Rafael Blaya led the way with 13 saves, Leni Saltos had 3 goalsand 2 steals, Max Possin added a goal, assist, and steal, Leni Zenatti added an assist and 3 steals, Jack Lyman had a goal and 2 assists, Gadzhi Bilalov scored and had an assist, and Luca Aceto added 2 assists.
Today......The Boys Varsity Basketball Team hosts Somerset Central Miramar Academy in the Regional Quarterfinals at 7pm, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts St. Brendan at 7pm, the Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team travels to True North Academy at 4:30pm, the Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Teams travel to Pine Crest at 3pm, and the Girls and Boys Middle School Tennis Teams host Gulliver at 3pm.
On Friday…….The Girls Varsity Basketball Team hosts Westminster Academy in the Regional Finals at 7pm, the Girls Varsity Soccer Team hosts Pine Crest in the Regional Semifinals at 7pm, the Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Teams host Krop at the North Miami Beach Tennis Center at 3pm, the Softball Team travels to Oxbridge Academy at 4pm, the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Fort Lauderdale High School at 4:30pm, and the Varsity Baseball Team travels to Marathon at 6pm.

Boys Middle School Baseball is for student-athletes in grades 6-8. Practice will begin March 8, competitions will start as early as March 22, and the South Florida Middle School Championships will be the week of May 10-14.
