In Thursday’s Athletic Action....The Girls Varsity Water Polo Team (10-1) beat Pembroke Pines Charter School 12-2.  Sabrina Morata led the way with 5 goals and an assist, Tatiana Blasky and Sofia Paredes each scored 2 goals, Isabella Stripling Serrano, Ananya Carrafelli, and Carolina Rossetto all scored, Chloe Cartledge had 4 assists and 5 steals, Zaina Bazzi added an assist, Carolina Ortegon had 2 steals, and Sofia Guarini had 5 saves, 2 steals, and an assist.  The Girls Varsity Tennis Team (5-3) beat Gulliver 5-2. Juliana Martinez, Allexii Bassette, and Gabrielle Bassette all won their singles matches, and Juliana and Allexii, Gabrielle and Maria Salazar won their doubles matches. The Softball Team (1-3) beat Everglades Prep 22-5. Arielle Germeus led the way with 4 runs scored and 2 RBI, Autumn Flint-Burns was the winning pitcher, Logan Sennett tripled, singled, scored a run, and drove in a run, Leyka Rojo and Maggie Houser each had 2 hits, 3 runs scored, and 2 RBI, Saarah Rassif and Sofia Mateo each singled, drove in a run, and scored 2 runs, and Sophia Gostfrand singled, drove in a run, and scored. The Boys Varsity Water Polo Team (3-9) beat Suncoast 10-4. Riccardo Di Giuseppe led the way with 2 goals, 8 saves, and 4 steals, Jake Grossman and Kenneth Barrett each scored 2 goals, Ilan Zennati, Luca Grendene, Nico Dunn, and Edoardo Figari all scored, and Michael Bernstein had 6 steals. The Boys Varsity Tennis Team (0-7) lost to Gulliver 5-2.  Max Castanon and Oscar Goncalves each won their singles matches. The Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team (4-3) lost to Belen 15-4. Paul Clifford made 23 saves, and Noah Markofsky and Jack Finvarb each scored 2 goals.
 
Today.....The Girls and Boys Varsity Water Polo Teams participate in at tournament at Belen, the Girls and Boys Middle School Tennis Teams host Westminster Christian at 3pm, and the Varsity Baseball Team hosts Ransom Everglades at 7pm.
 
On Saturday....... The Girls and Boys Varsity Water Polo Teams participate in at tournament at Belen, the Boys Middle School Baseball Team travels to Marathon for a double-header at 10am/12:30pm, and the Boys Middle School Lacrosse Team hosts games at 9am/10:15am/11:30am.
 
Games of the Week (Thursday, March 12) .......Please come out and support this week’s “Spartan Pride Games of the Week” on Thursday, March 12th, as the Girls Varsity Water Polo Team hosts Miami Beach High School in their “Senior Game” at 5pm and the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team hosts Miami Beach High School in their “Senior Game” at 6pm. Prizes and games will occur during halftime of each contest, with our ‘Senior Ceremony” taking place between games.
