Tuesday, March 3, 2020:

Late Saturday....... The Boys Middle School Lacrosse Team (3-1) beat Westminster Christian 9-4, but lost to Palmetto Middle School 5-1. Evan Hurwitz led the way with 6 goals and an assist, and Rainen O’Kurley made 14 saves. The Boys Middle School Baseball Team (0-2) lost to Marathon 20-5 and 15-0.  Murray Brown doubled home two runs and scored, and Hansel Ramirez, Adrian Atoa, and Bruce Cohen all singled.
In Monday’s Athletic Action.....The Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team (3-2) beat North Broward Prep 7-6. Noah Markofsky led the way with 5 goals, Romain Vinois and Jack Finvarb each had a goal and an assist, Steven Port and Ben Malamed each added assist, and Paul Clifford made 20 saves. The Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team (2-4) lost to North Broward Prep 14-10.  Sophia Agurcia and Rachel Hodes each scored 4 goals, and Nina Le Troadec and Lauren White each scored. The Girls Middle School Tennis Team (5-2) beat Ransom Everglades 4-3. Scout Hudson, Ginger Jacob, and Maria Lola Lopez all won their singles matches, and Sierra Rosen and Talia Kurlandski won their doubles matches. The Boys Middle School Tennis Team (3-3) lost to Ransom Everglades 4-3. Maverick Jacob won his singles match, and Antonio Moura and Oscar Bergier, Juan de Zabala and August Bicknell won their doubles matches. The Middle School Water Polo Team (1-2) lost to Gulliver 17-2. Hendrix Lee scored both goals, and Justin Claramonte and Leo Niemeyer each made 3 saves.  The Boys Middle School Baseball Team (0-3) lost to Everglades Prep 18-2.  Parker Zaron and Jack Pizzo each scored, and Hansel Ramirez singled.
Today.....The Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Teams host Ransom Everglades at 3pm, the Girls and Boys Water Polo Teams host ATM at 5/6pm, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team travels to St. Brendan at 5pm, the Varsity Baseball Team hosts Somerset Homestead at 7pm, and the Softball Team travels to Pine Crest at 4:30pm.
Games of the Week (Tuesday, March 3) .......Please come out and support this week’s “Spartan Pride Games of the Week” on Tuesday, March 3rd, as the Girls Varsity Water Polo Team hosts Alonzo Tracy Mourning High School at 5pm and the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team hosts ATM at 6pm.
In Wednesday’s Action......Winter Sports Awards Ceremony....... Our Winter Sports Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:30pm.  We are asking everyone to report to the rooms listed below for individual and team recognition, as well as special awards.  This ceremony should only last about 30-45 minutes, so please join us in celebrating the outstanding accomplishments our of Winter student-athletes and coaches.
