First iBelong Coffeehouse of the Year

On Thursday, over 60 Middle School students gathered for the first iBelong Coffee House of the year. The students were asked to anonymously write down a time when they felt excluded. Next, each student crumbled up the piece of paper and was instructed to toss it across the room. Students then picked a crumbled ball and shared what an anonymous peer had written. The activity was repeated, but this time with an experience when they felt included. The activity prompted important dialogue around exclusion and inclusion.
