In Thursday's Athletic Action....The Girls Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (12-0) remained undefeated by beating Cushman 25-12, 24-26, 15-9. Sofia Naves led the way with 9 assists and 8 aces, Sofia Nayor had 6 aces and 4 kills, Brianna Lewin added 5 aces and 4 kills, and Yakira Wardlaw had 3 aces and 5 kills. The Girls Middle School (JV) Volleyball Team (9-0) also remained undefeated by beating Cushman 25-13, 25-13. Carly Williams led the way with 3 aces and 4 digs, Sydney Fuentes had 3 aces, 2 kills, and 7 digs, Morgan Loeb added 6 aces, Rebecca Reines had 6 digs, 1 ace, and 1 kill, and Simone Hart had 3 digs, 6 aces, and 1 assist. The Boys Golf Team (3-4) lost to Chaminade 165-191. Griffin Steutel led the way with a 40, Quinn Walker shot a 48, Antonio Justo added a 51, and Sam Netkin shot a 52.
In Today's Events....The Cross Country Teams participate in the Junior Orange Bowl Invitational at 2:30pm (Girls JV), 3:10pm (Boys JV), 3:45pm (Girls Varsity open race), 4:25pm (Boys Varsity open race), 5pm (Girls Varsity Invite), 5:30pm (Boys Varsity Invite), the Varsity Football Team and Cheerleaders host Kings Academy at 7:30pm, the Middle School (JV and Varsity) Volleyball Teams host Ransom Everglades at 4/5pm, the Girls and Boys Varsity Swim Teams host Chaminade and Miami Beach High at 5:30pm, and the Varsity Volleyball Team participates in the Chaminade Invitational starting at 2pm.
On Saturday.....The Varsity Volleyball Team participates in the Chaminade Invitational all day, the Junior Varsity Volleyball hosts the Spartan Invitational starting at 9am, and the Shores Spartans play at MCDS at 9am/11am/1pm.
