First Annual One-Person Show Festival: The Great American Dreamer and Life After Love

We are thrilled to announce the inaugural year of the Arts Endorsement at Miami Country Day School is 2022-2023. The Arts Endorsement is for students who are wildly passionate about the arts. Students can work in the Arts Endorsement where they can use their passion, talent, and drive to continue to grow as people and artists. We are acknowledging the work students are already doing as a part of the Arts program now with even more opportunities to work on what drives them.
In the Arts Endorsement, students will go beyond the Arts requirement of one year and complete at least three years (beginning sophomore year) of Arts classes (Visual Art, Music, or Theater).  For students interested in theatre, requirements are membership in the International Thespian Honor Society, participation in at least one production per semester, and participation in weekly private coaching with theater faculty. Senior year students will perform in their One Person show where they will write, produce, and perform their culminating theatre performance for friends and family to celebrate the completion of their program. The One-Person Show Festival (OPS) will be held annually as part of the Arts Endorsement at Miami Country Day School. We are kicking off the OPS Festival this year. We are hosting the First Annual OPS Festival: The Great American Dreamer and Life After Love both at 5pm and 7pm in the CFA second floor, black box theatre. Please be aware that the OPS Festival has mature content and themes similar to those of a PG-13 movie.
