About Us

Miami Country Day School was founded in 1938 as a residential proprietary boarding school for boys through eighth grade and has evolved remarkably over the past 74 years. The School has become a coeducational, nonprofit, interdenominational school with approximately 1075 students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 representing approximately 32 countries. The school’s first twelfth grade graduating class was in 1981.

The school is accredited by FCIS and SACS; active membership is maintained in SACAC, NACAC, NAIS, SAIS, CASE, CRIS, ERB, American Library Association and the College Board.

We inspire our children to develop their intellectual, physical, aesthetic, social, emotional and spiritual potentials by valuing every student every day.
