Wednesday, February 8, 2017:
In Monday’s Athletic Events…..The Junior Varsity Lacrosse Team (0-1) lost to Gulliver 13-4. Noah Reines and Jack Finvarb each scored 2 goals, Elliot Surnamer added an assist, Paul Clifford made 10 saves, and Sasha Carrillo and Ethan Mayer-Perez each played well on defense.
Yesterday, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team (12-6-3) lost to Palmer-Trinity in the Regional Finals 6-0. Khilil Winder and Owen Wesley each played well, and Michael Mcpherson made 7 saves. The Boys Varsity Water Polo Team (1-4) lost to Hialeah High 13-11. Zachary Smith led the way with 5 goals, Jonathan Abramowitz had 2 goals and an assist, Alex Cohen added a goal and an assist, Sebastian Rodriguez had a goal and 3 assists, and Eric Bernstein and Juan Martin Caro each added a goal. The Girls Varsity Water Polo Team (1-4) lost to Hialeah High 16-3. Gaby Palmisano led the way with 12 blocks and a steal, Amelia Gregorio added 2 goals, Rhiannen Reig had 2 assists, and Tyler Knohl had a goal and a steal.
In Today’s Action….The Boys Varsity Basketball Team hosts Hillel in the District Semi-finals at 5pm, and the Varsity Lacrosse Team travels to American Heritage at 7pm.
