Curiosity is Fundamental
welcome to College & Academic Counseling-

Exceptional college outcomes don’t begin with applications, they begin with students who are known, challenged, and inspired to pursue their fullest potential. At Miami Country Day School, our College & Academic Counseling program builds on years of knowing each student, combining rigorous academics, meaningful relationships, and purposeful exploration to help every learner find the college that is the right fit, and a future that is uniquely their own.

As a PK3–12 school, we know many of our students long before they enter Upper School. By the time they formally begin the college planning process in Grade 9, we understand who they are as learners, leaders, artists, athletes, innovators, and community members. That foundation allows us to guide each student toward opportunities that are both academically ambitious and personally meaningful.

Together, they develop a thoughtful, individualized plan that balances rigorous academics, leadership, service, extracurricular involvement, wellness, career exploration, and college planning, encouraging students to challenge themselves, pursue their passions, and make informed decisions with confidence.
Our intentional four-year College & Academic Counseling curriculum empowers students to grow with purpose, embrace new opportunities, and navigate the college admission process with clarity and confidence. Through every conversation, milestone, and decision, our goal remains the same: to help each student discover the path that best reflects their strengths, aspirations, and potential.
The result is more than successful college admissions. It is graduates who are intellectually curious, prepared to thrive at exceptional colleges and universities, and equipped to lead lives of purpose, impact, and lifelong learning.
