David J. Butter is a real estate attorney in Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, where he focuses his practice on land use and zoning law. Mr. Butter represents developers and property owners in securing permits and entitlement approvals. Mr. Butter works with development teams and interacts with municipal staff and elected officials on zoning district boundary changes, site plan approvals, Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP) amendments, as well as handling variance applications and other matters throughout Miami-Dade County. Outside of his role as President of the Miami Country Day School Alumni Association, Mr. Butter serves on the Board of Directors of Touching Miami With Love, a nonprofit organization serving children and youth in the communities of Overtown and West Homestead. Mr. Butter volunteers with organizations such as Feeding South Florida, Miami Food Rescue, and The Little Lighthouse Foundation.

Mr. Butter’s proven track record of leadership goes back to his days as an undergraduate student at Florida State University, where he received the university’s highest honors, including IFC Man of the Year, The Tallahassee Democrat Volunteer of the Year Award, the College of Public Policy Academic Leadership Award, and was a campus finalist for the Harry S. Truman Fellowship. Mr. Butter was quoted and featured in various university publications and media outlets, including the campus newspaper.

Stephanie is a seasoned program management professional with a strong foundation in process improvement, digital transformation, and change leadership. A graduate of Miami Country Day School (2007), she earned her Bachelor of Arts (2011) and Master of Business Administration (2014) from the University of Miami, where she developed a passion for management science, project management, and continuous improvement.

Stephanie began her career at Microsoft, serving in multiple roles within the Business Operations organization, where she drove high-impact operational improvements at scale. She currently works as a Program Manager at ShipBob within their Technology Group, leading initiatives that support growth, efficiency, and innovation.

She holds multiple professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt, and Prosci Change Management. Known as a thoughtful leader, Stephanie builds impact by combining data-driven decision making with a people-first approach to transformation.

Outside of work, she integrates her passion for yoga (RYT 200), mindfulness, and diversity and inclusion into a lifelong journey of learning, balance, and growth.

Brian Riemer is the Chief Executive Officer of Riemer Insurance Group, Inc., a family-owned insurance brokerage founded in 1978. Based in South Florida, Brian leads the firm’s strategic growth and oversees complex insurance solutions for individuals, families, and businesses across the country. He is actively involved in community and philanthropic organizations and is proud to support Miami Country Day School as a member of the Alumni Board.

Paisley Ortiz is the founder of Vantum Ventures, a sustainability advisory firm that helps organizations build and execute strategies for environmental and social responsibility, branding and marketing, reporting, and long-term business resilience. With over a decade of experience in Corporate Sustainability across the private and public sectors, she crafts bold strategies that advance sustainability while driving business growth. She launched her firm to bring hands-on, senior-level expertise to both for-profit and nonprofit organizations at every stage of their journey.

Paisley serves on the Board of the Sustainability Fund for Sound Wealth Management Group at Raymond James, the Board of Advisors for Sustainability at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, and the Executive Alumni Board of Miami Country Day School. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Business from the University of Miami and is GRI-trained in sustainability reporting. Personally, she is a member of the Miami Association of Realtors and a trained artist specializing in fine art and documentary photography.

Alexander E. Brody, an associate with Meland Budwick, P.A., focuses his practice on commercial litigation, bankruptcy, financial fraud, trade secrets, and intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Thomas Logue of the Third District Court of Appeals and as a legal intern for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Alex was also a fellow at the University of Miami School of Law Startup Practicum where he provided pro bono assistance to clients in selecting and forming business entities, and drafted employee and joint venture agreements.

Alex received his Juris Doctor and MBA from the University of Miami. While in law school, he served as the Online Editor of the International and Comparative Law Review and was a member of the law school’s Honor Council.

Alex is a board and committee member of the Young Leadership Jewish Federation and the Miami Country Day School alumni board.

I was born in Miami and attended Miami Country Day School from 1st through 12th grade, graduating in 2007. I went on to study at Southern Methodist University in Dallas (class of 2011) and have a background in Corporate Retail Operations & Sales. Having lived in Dallas, Austin, Boston, and NYC, I now am back in Miami with my husband and our two children. We’re proud to continue our family’s legacy at MCDS with two little Spartans, class of ’39 and class of ’41!

I’m Harrison C. Davies ’09, Miami native & Head of Marketing at BLC/WonderTrust with Kevin O’Leary. I love building brands, shaping stories, and helping businesses shine—while also putting places (and people) on the Map with Google Local Guides.

After MCDS, I went on to study and play collegiate baseball at the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee. I graduated from Tennessee with a major in Sport Management and a double minor in Business and Chemistry. Post-graduation, I was drafted professionally by the Oakland Athletics, played for the Detroit Tigers and finished my career in Taiwan. After 9 years of professional baseball, I retired and became a sports agent with Paragon Sports International. At Paragon, I negotiated multi-million-dollar contracts and numerous marketing deals. We represented amateur athletes for the draft and advised professionals through arbitration and free agent deals.

Currently I am a Real Estate Advisor at Compass with my business partner and fellow MCDS alumnus George Schechter ’98. We have collaborated to create GSD Advisors which is a division within Compass’ sports and entertainment sector. We also assist our clients with real estate transactions.

Jon Gitman is a Partner at BridgeInvest since 2013. Jon oversees loan origination, underwriting and structuring at the firm in addition to oversight of the firm’s existing portfolio. In his role, Jon led the firm’s expansion into a nationwide debt platform with capabilities across the development and bridge lifecycles of transactions. While at BridgeInvest, Jon has closed over $2 billion of commercial real estate transactions. Prior to BridgeInvest, Jon focused on acquisitions with Resource Real Estate (acquired by Blackstone) where he was charged with the deployment of a $1 billion private REIT focused on the acquisition and work-out of non-performing commercial real estate and real estate related debt throughout the United States. After graduating from Miami Country Day School in 2004, Jon graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in both finance and real estate. In addition to the MCDS Alumni Board, Jon dedicates his efforts to the Chabad House at the University of Pennsylvania, the Miami Club of AIPAC and spending time with his three children – Leon, Amelia and Misha.

Nicole Haime Kamhi attended Miami Country Day School for 14 years, graduating in 2007. She holds a BA in Communications and Marketing from Boston University and an MA in Real Estate Development and Finance from New York University. Her career spans hospitality and real estate, where she has worked at the intersection of branding, development, and finance. She is the founder of NMH Creative, a consulting firm and has worked with companies including Travel + Leisure, Belmond Hotels, Ace Hotels, and Serena Del Mar on branding, development, financing, marketing, and public relations. Nicole lives in Miami with her husband, Ross, and three young children.

Brett Holland is a finance and real estate attorney in Holland & Knight’s Miami office.

Mr. Holland has extensive experience representing various financial institutions in commercial lending transactions, including banking institutions of all sizes, as well as private credit lenders, investment funds and life insurance companies.

Mr. Holland is well versed in a variety of commercial lending and restructuring transactions, including real estate financing, mortgage warehousing, note-on-note financing, repo facilities and other asset-based financing such as receivable, inventory, equipment and working capital facilities. He regularly leads complex syndicated loan transactions and has substantial experience representing lead lenders and participant lenders in participations, syndicated transactions and other co-lending arrangements. Mr. Holland has also represented construction lenders within and outside of Florida in various condominium and mixed-use developments totaling several billion dollars.

Additionally, Mr. Holland represents a variety of clients, including private investors, family offices and investments funds, in the sale, acquisition and financing of real property, encompassing a broad range of asset classes and transaction structures.

Ryan A. Jove is Vice President & General Manager of the Florida Chain Division at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, leading one of the largest retail chain‑driven commercial organizations in the U.S. He brings more than a decade of executive leadership experience across spirits and wine, with a strong focus on enterprise strategy, financial stewardship, and talent development. Ryan holds graduate degrees from the Chaplin School at Florida International University and the University of Miami. Ryan a graduate of Miami Country Day School’s class of 2007.

Iván M. Mendoza, CFA, CFP®, CLU, ChFC, CLTC, CDFA, is the founder and Managing Principal of Mendoza Private Wealth, a boutique wealth management firm focused on research, financial planning, and investment management. With over two and a half decades of experience in financial services, Iván has established himself as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Iván’s career in finance began in 1999 at Prudential, where he quickly rose to the position of Manager, Financial Services. His drive to make a direct impact on people’s lives led him to join the Miami office of Sanford C. Bernstein’s private client group in 2012, where he served as Vice President and Financial Advisor. In 2016, motivated by a desire to avoid conflicts of interest and truly focus on his clients, Iván founded Mendoza Private Wealth.

Throughout his career, Iván has specialized in providing investment and wealth planning advice to individuals, families, trusts, estates, foundations, endowments, and pension plans. His comprehensive approach encompasses both financial planning and investment management, always prioritizing his clients’ best interests.

Iván’s educational background includes an MBA from the University of Florida and a BA in Psychology from Florida International University. His commitment to professional excellence is evident in his impressive array of certifications: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC) and Chartered Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA).

As a first-generation American of Peruvian heritage, Iván brings a unique perspective to his work. He is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish, and has lived in diverse locations, including New York City, Livingston, NJ, and Lima, Peru. This multicultural

background enhances his ability to connect with and serve clients from various walks of life.

Currently residing in Miami, Florida, Iván balances his professional life with his role as a family man, sharing his life with his wife, Ana, and their two sons, Emiliano and Alessandro. In his leisure time, Iván indulges his passions for travel, culinary exploration, and cycling.

Iván’s combination of extensive experience, diverse qualifications, and personal background positions him uniquely to provide personalized, comprehensive financial guidance to a wide range of clients, always with an unwavering commitment to their best interests.

Minette Schwartz Cramer is honored to serve on the Miami Country Day School Alumni Board as the Chair of Admissions Ambassadors. During her time at MCDS, Minette was the captain of the varsity tennis team and the founder of the debate team. She went on to earn her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and her MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Today, Minette is a highly successful luxury real estate broker who has closed over $500 million in sales. Minette resides in Miami with her husband, Evan, and their two children.

Lance Tinkler, has been part of the Country Day community for over 30 years. A 2001 Graduate, his 3 daughters, Jagger (2nd Grade), Jordyn (1st Grade) & Jacquelyn (SK-5) attend MCDS. Lance considers it an honor & privilege to serve on the Alumni Board, where he previously served as the Vice President & currently Co-Chairs the school’s Golf Tournament. Lance is the leader behind the brand Lancescape, a Luxury Design Build Company & lives local in Miami Shores with his wife Jenny and daughters.

Jake Weiss is a Senior Associate with The Easton Group’s Tenant Advisory Practice. As part of the Miami-based team working with Andrew Easton, he focuses on delivering optimal real estate solutions to corporate and institutional tenants, major law firms, as well as both national and local businesses. Mr. Weiss’ involvement in companies’ real estate decision making processes typically results in reduced occupancy costs, increased efficiencies and increased employee satisfaction / retention. He excels in aligning his clients’ short and long-term objectives with his extensive market knowledge, delivering results that seamlessly integrate into their overarching business strategies. His

proficiency extends beyond tenant advisory services, encompassing specialized areas like workplace strategy, lease acquisitions, market analysis, and property transactions.

Born and raised in Miami, Mr. Weiss brings a wealth of knowledge about the South Florida market to the team. Jake started his career in financial consulting where he previously worked for Ernst & Young. He worked very closely with large banks and insurance companies and developed key client relationships during his time there. Before his tenure at The Easton Group, he worked as a Tenant Advisor at Cushman & Wakefield where he developed business tactics that provided a competitive environment, which led to favorable results for his clients.
