The Art of Paper 

All art for this week will be centered around work with paper. Campers will be introduced to the art of origami and collage.


What’s better than food and friends? Well baking camp is the perfect recipe for both. Campers will learn how to make delicious treats including cookies, cakes, cupcakes, muffins and so much more! And of course, they get to eat them! Campers will also learn essential cooking skills, baking concepts / techniques such as measuring, mixing, using different appliances and decorating their treats!

Broadcasting Journalism

Campers will be trained in the fundamental techniques and craft of broadcast journalism. They will study in our world-class facility with an experienced photographer, filmmaker, and media instructor. Each camper will be provided with a strong introduction to necessary digital and journalism skills with will assist in the production of two projects, shot with single-camera setups and edited on industry-standard editing software.

Creative Hearts: Artist Passports

Campers will create passports and get them stamped as they travel to different countries each day! We will explore what each country has to offer.

Creative Hearts: Board Game Creation

Campers will research different games from multiple genres to identify the structures needed to design their own board game. There will be both individual and collaborative work as campers navigate what the board game will look like, what rules go along with it, and the pieces that they want to include.

Creative Hearts: Wild Animals

Campers will travel across the world learning about different animals and their habitat before creating their own animal models using sponges and pastels.

Dance: Encanto

Do you love Encanto? Come dance along to your favorite songs from Encanto! But Shhhhh!!! We don’t talk about Bruno! ;-)

Dance: Hip-Hop

Campers will be introduced to a variety of steps and moves of the hip-hop genre to some of their favorite tunes. Each camper will combine these movements with personal styles and rhythms to create DANCE. This is a high energy atmosphere, so BRING IT!

Discovering Masters of Painting

Campers will create an art piece each day based on the style of the following artist: Monet, Picasso, Paul Klee, Leonardo da Vinci.

LEGO: STEM Building Challenge

Campers will engage in construction play with Legos as they are given daily challenges to build. Each STEM challenge will allow Campers to discover, design, use critical thinking skills, practice problem-solving, and collaborate with peers. Campers will be provided with examples and pictures of each challenge, but creativity and uniqueness are highly encouraged. Each challenge will be modified based on the camper’s skill level.

LEGO: Town

Campers will engage in planning, designing, and collaborating to create a Lego town. Each day will start with a planning process in which Campers will discuss what is necessary in a town, and how towns are set up. The design process will allow campers to draw out and visualize their ideas.

L💛VE Fashion

Campers will be exposed to aspects of fashion design including sketching, color theory, coloring, accessories and shoes. There will also be a photoshoot and runway catwalk. At weeks end, campers will have a portfolio and beautiful photos.

Model Magic Creations

Have a wild imagination and good fine motor skills? Model Magic Creations is the camp for you! Campers will be introduced to the kneading, rolling, pinching, and coiling techniques and so much more! Prior to starting their creations, campers will brainstorm and sketch out their ideas.

Painting Animals

Campers will pick their favorite animals and learn how to paint them.

Paintings From Around the World 

Campers will study/analyze the different style and cultural way of creating artwork on our planet. Campers will create a different piece each day of the following places: Australia=aboriginal art; France=impressionism; Portugal and North Africa=ceramic designs; Japan=Hokusai style painting; USA=Andy Warhol style painting

Robotics, Coding & Programming

Please join us at our Garner Center for Innovation as we use color coding, block coding and more to program robots to do a variety of activities. This includes navigating an obstacle course, bowling with robots, and playing a xylophone. Campers will also be using iPads, Ozobots, Dot Dash Bots, Sphero bots, and more to learn as they progress through this week-long robotics experience.

South Florida Creations

Campers will be creating pieces of plein air art, based off what they see from our campus. They will tour our campus and take pictures of things that they like before heading back to the classroom to paint it.

Still Life

The focus of these creations will be natural objects such as, fruit, flowers or other household items that never move.
