The John Davies Cultural Arts Series is pleased to welcome New York Times Best Selling Author & Illustrator, Peter H. Reynolds to the Center for the Arts on Tuesday, January 22nd at 7:00pm.

We get it. Middle School can be a rough time. You’re not an adult, ready for full-on camper responsibility, but you’re not a child, either. You want an opportunity to demonstrate your skills AND time to just hang out with your friends at an awesome camp. We hear you! The good news is at Country Day Camp, the MIDDLE is MARVELOUS as a CIT!

Typical Weekly Schedule

The Counselor-In-Training program is open to students who have a passion for camp and want to become tomorrow’s camp leaders. Our CITs enjoy a real camp experience as well as:
  • Fun and educational training programs focused on child development and enrichment
  • CPR and First Aid courses to ensure that they will be able to handle emergencies when needed
  • Weekly beach or bowling trips as part of their field trip training

Pricing

Summer is a busy time for everyone, so we offer you the best packages to tailor to your needs.


1 week : $275/week
2 – 4 weeks : $255/week
5 – 6 weeks : $245/week
7 – 8 weeks : $235/week

Total cost includes: Daily lunch (including vegetarian options), two CIT t-shirts, CPR and First-Aid instruction, field trips, and complimentary participation in our before- and after-camp program called Playhouse90.

Director and Staff Information

Our counselors, or Fungineers as we call them, are what really set our camp apart. Our Head Counselors and Specialty Instructors have extensive experience in their fields. Many are teachers or employed in education, and are CPR trained and certified. Our Assistant Counselors are 16 years of age or older and have progressed from our volunteer and CIT programs. Our student volunteers are proud community service participants, who assist in ensuring your child is safe and has the best summer ever.
