In Thursday’s Athletic Events.....The Girls Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (1-1) beat Westminster Christian 25-9, 25-10. Sasha Blasky led the way with 7 assists, Katerina Dumas had 7 aces and 4 kills, and Daniela Gonzalez had 11 aces. The Girls Middle School (JV) Volleyball Team (2-0) beat Westminster Christian 25-23, 25-10. Emmanuelle Almeida led the way with 8 aces and 3 digs, Daniella Arango had 3 kills and 6 aces, and Jordana Mutchnik added 4 digs and an ace. The Boys Water Polo Team (6-8) beat Krop 13-7 in the District Quarterfinals, but lost to ATM in the Semifinals 25-9. Michael Bernstein led the way with 8 goals and an assist, Riccardo Di Giuseppe had 5 goals, 3 steals, and 2 assists, Nico Dunn added 7 goals and 3 assists, Justin Claramonte made 21 saves and had 2 assists, Felipe Blaya had a goal and an assist, Alex Mandel and Jake Grossman each scored, and Evan Miller and Kenneth Barrett each had assists. The Middle School Baseball Team (0-1) lost to Westminster Christian 20-0. Jack Pizzo singled. The Softball Team (0-8) lost to Colonial Christian 26-7. Samantha Kodsi went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 runs scored, Sofia Mateo was 2 for 2 with 2 doubles, Logan Sennett doubled, Saarah Rassif struck out 5 batters, and Maggie Houser threw well in relief.
