In Thursday’s Athletic Action.....The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (19-3) beat Marathon in the Regional Quarterfinals 69-17. Kristina Godfrey led the way with 23 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds, and 6 steals, Andrea Daley had 21 points, 5 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists, Isabella Guevara added 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 steals, and Kayla Nelms had 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. The girls travel to Palmer-Trinity for the Regional Semifinals on Tuesday at 7pm. The Girls Varsity Tennis Team (1-1) beat Benjamin in their “senior match” 7-0.  Senior Allexii Bassette, Gabrielle Bassette, Brooke Kovacs, Senior Maria Salazar, and Nina vara won their singles matches, and Allexii and Maria, Gaby and Olivia Schaedler won their doubles matches. The Boys Varsity Tennis Team (0-1) lost to Benjamin 5-2. Lucas Chemla and Oscar Goncalves won their singles matches. The Boys Middle School Tennis Team (2-2) beat Palmer-Trinity 6-1. Oscar Bergier, Maverick Jacob, Lucas Bacardi Shriftman, Manuel Apraiz, and Phillip Wigoda all won their singles matches, and Francisco Apraiz and Eitan Deen won their doubles match. The Girls Middle School Tennis Team (3-2) beat Palmer-Trinity 6-1. Natalia Marquez, Natalia Torres, Paloma Deen, and Alexia Peristeris all won their singles matches, and Natalia Marquez and Maria Lola Lopez, Emma Almeida and Allegra Schaedler won their doubles matches. The Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team (2-2) beat Palmer-Trinity 31-22. Miles Papunen led the way with 8 points, 4 steals, and an assist, Nicholas Sukhdeo had 7 points, 2 rebounds, and a steal, Joao Ivo Belarmino Neto added 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, Adam Traster had 3 points, Quinn Smith added 2 points and 3 steals, and Zayden Stowe had 5 points and 3 steals. The Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Team (3-1) lost to Palmer-Trinity 42-32. Matthew Finvarb led the way with 18 points and 6 rebounds, Marcus Papunen had 4 points and 5 rebounds, Julian Erez added 5 points and 5 rebounds, Adrian Atoa had 4 steals, Carson Goodman grabbed 4 rebounds, and Matthew Williamson had 2 rebounds. The Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team beat Cooper City 7-0, but lost to Calvary Christian 9-3 (pre-season games). In game 1, Rachel Hodes led the way with 3 goals, Michelle Jacobo recorded the shutout with 6 saves, Nina Le Troadec added 2 goals, Sophia Agurcia had a goal and an assist, and Lorelai Konen scored. In game 2, Rachel Hodel scored 2 goals, Lorelai Konen added a goal, and Stella Dunham blocked 5 shots.
 
Today....The Boys Varsity Basketball Team travels to SLAM Academy in the District Championship game at 5pm.
 
On Saturday......The Girls Water Polo Team hosts Krop at 9am, and the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team hosts Krop and ATM at 1/2pm.
 
On Tuesday......The Girls Varsity Soccer Team hosts Calvary Christian Academy in the Regional Quarterfinals at 7pm, and the Girls Varsity Basketball Team travels to Palmer-Trinity in the Regional Semifinals at 7pm.

Middle School Athletics (Season 3)

Boys Middle School Baseball

Boys Middle School Baseball is for student-athletes in grades 6-8.  Practice will begin March 8, competitions will start as early as March 22, and the South Florida Middle School Championships will be the week of May 10-14. Girls Middle School Volleyball
