Director of Girls Soccer Operations: We are proud to announce that Kameron Clark has been named our new Director of Girls Soccer Operations. Kameron, a Miami native, graduated from Christopher Columbus High School and Florida Gulf Coast University. After college, he returned to Miami to become the boys head soccer coach at Coral Reef Senior High, leading them back-to-back district titles and regional appearances. After his success at Coral Reef, Coach Clark continued his coaching career at Gulliver, where he led boys team to a 4A state championship last season. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Kameron still plays at a high level for a semi-professional team in the UPSL.
2020-21 High School Athletics
Please see each sport listed below for practice start dates and coaching information. All game and practice schedules will be posted on the Miami Country Day School athletic website at www.miamicountryday.org. Prior to the first day of practice, all student-athletes must have a completed physical and all proper FHSAA paperwork (EL2 and EL3) uploaded electronically to Magnus Health, which is accessed from your ‘My Country Day Account.’ Any questions regarding the athletic forms can be directed to the Athletic Trainers: Michelle Cordero at corderom@miamicountryday.org or Anthony Reyes at reyesa@miamicountryday.org.
Fall Sports
Boys and Girls Varsity Golf - Varsity Golf is for student-athletes in grades 6-12. Tryouts began on September 8 at the Miami Shores Country Club. Matches will begin as early as September 21. Our golf teams will compete in the FHSAA state series. Districts will take place the week of October 12, regionals the week of October 19, and states the week of November 6. Girls Varsity Volleyball – Varsity Volleyball is for student-athletes in grades 9-12. Tryouts will begin on September 29 with returning varsity players and student-athletes in grades 11 and 12 attending the 6-8pm session and all 9th and 10th grade student-athletes attending the 4-6pm tryouts. Please contact Athletic Director, Chuck Sennett, at sennettc@miamicountryday.org to sign up for tryouts. Our volleyball team will not compete in the FHSAA state series. Matches will begin as early as October 9, with the season ending on November 6. Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball – Junior Varsity Volleyball is for student-athletes in grades 9-10. Tryouts will begin on September 29 with all returning varsity players and all student-athletes in grades 11 and 12 attending the 6-8pm session and all 9th and 10th grade student-athletes attending the 4-6pm tryouts.
