Friday, November 22, 2019:

In Thursday’s Athletic Action.......The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (2-2) beat Benjamin 3-0.  Erik Pantin led the way with 2 goals, Pedro Levi scored, Josef Frenkel and Julian Kahan each added assists, Joseph Bassett recorded the shutout with 3 saves, and Ethan White, Michael Puglise, and Connor Sastre all played well on defense. The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (1-0) beat Nova High School 60-23.  Sydney Shaw led the way with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists, Kayla Nelms had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals, Andrea Daley added 10 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 assists, Gianna Corbitt had 9 points, 12 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 assists, and 2 blocks, and Emani Theodule added 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. The Boys Middle School Soccer Team (2-2) lost to Palmer-Trinity 2-1. Max Manhire scored, Diego Corigliano and Dylan meyer each played well. The Girls Middle School Soccer Team (0-4) lost to Palmer-Trinity 4-0.  Maggie Houser made 17 saves, and Sofia Sharam, Maryam Rassif, Natalia Pantin Escudero, and Madeline Bram all played well.
 
Today.....There are no athletic contests schedule for Friday.
 
On Saturday....The Boys Varsity Soccer Team travels to Lakeland Christian at 11am, the Girls Middle School Basketball Team hosts the Spartan Invitational at 9am (MCDS, Florida Christian, Divine Savior, University School), and the Girls Middle School Soccer Team hosts the Spartan Invitational beginning at 9am (MCDS, Marathon, Divine Savior, Florida Christian).
 
Fall Sports Awards Ceremony.......Our Fall Sports Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 4, at 6:30pm. This ceremony should only last about 30-45 minutes, so please join us in celebrating the outstanding accomplishments our of Fall student-athletes and coaches.
 
Spartan Hall of Fame “Class of 2021”- The Miami Country Day School Alumni Association established the Spartan Athletic Hall of Fame to honor those individuals who have achieved a high level of success during their careers as student-athletes, coaches or through other significant accomplishments to the Miami Country Day School athletic program.
