In Friday’s Athletic Action...... The Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams had a great day at the Pine Crest Invitational at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek. The Girls Varsity Team finished 9th overall in the Invitational and runner-up in The Palm League Conference Championships.  The girls were led by Rachel Hodes (25th), Bella Smilowitz (27th), Isabella Galofre, Cristina Hernandez, Estella Dunham, and Briana Espinosa. The JV Girls team finished in 2nd place and were led Anastasija Moskvina (2nd), Mallory McDonald (10th), Klara Meyer (17th), Taisa Strouse (20th)and Sofia Cabarcos (22nd). The Boys Varsity Team finished 21st and were led by Carter McGaffic, Davis Lubetsky, Brady Lubetsky, Benjamin Kaplan, Josh LeHockey, Jaxson Cooper, and Ryder Rosenberg.   The JV Boys finished in  3rd and were led by Tyler Sastre, Raffaello Bruni, Shiwon Kang, Joaquin Ortiz, and Daniel Espinal. The Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (7-3) beat Divine Savior 25-14, 27-29, 15-9.  Tiana Tolles led the way with 11 kills, 1 ace, and 6 digs, Mia Finvarb added 7 kills, 3 aces, and 9 digs, Sienna Rosenberg had 21 aces, 15 digs, and 3 aces, Daniela Gonzalez had 11 digs, and Sophia Arcila added 3 aces and 17 digs. The Middle School (JV) Volleyball Team (4-5) lost to Divine Savior 25-21, 25-23.  Ella Gilderman led the way with 4 kills, 2 assists, and 1 dig, Bianca Malatesta had 7 aces, 3 assists, 1 kills, and 10 digs, and Stella Cardillo Ramos added 2 kills, 4 aces, and 4 digs. The Varsity Volleyball Team (5-8) lost to St. John Paul Academy 25-9, 25-12. Sophia Rosenberg led the way with 3 kills, Jia Garcia had 10 receptions and 3 digs, and Ashley Michelin added 4 assists and 3 digs.  The girls also lost to Cypress Bay 25-13, 25-14. Sophia Rosenberg had 4 kills and a block, Ashley Michelin added 6 assists and 4 digs, Sasha Vaygensberg and Isabella Brod each had 5 receptions and 5 digs. In game 3, the girls lost to Ransom Everglades 25-22, 25-16. Ashley Michelin led the way with 9 assists, 6 digs, and 2 kills, Sasha Vaygensberg had 4 kills and 4 digs, Sophia Brod added 21 receptions and 8 digs, and Brianna Lewin had 6 receptions, 4 digs, and 3 kills. The Junior Varsity Volleyball Team (3-4) lost to Riviera Prep 25-19, 25-5. Brisel Cabrera led the way with 5 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 digs, Tatiana Blasky had 6 assists, Barbara Lins added 11 receptions and 7 digs, and Sophie Gill had 6 receptions and 4 digs. The girls also lost to Gulliver 25-15, 20-25, 10-15. Brisel Cabrera had 12 receptions and 1- digs, Sophie Gill added 7 digs and 5 receptions, Nicolle Renteria had 5 aces, 2 kills, and 1 block, and Tatiana Blasky had 6 assists.
 
On Saturday.......The Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team (10-4) beat Carrollton 19-25, 25-12, 16-14, beat Ransom Everglades 25-21, 25-18, beat Gulliver 25-12, 25-19, but lost to Carrollton in the championship game 24-18, 27-25. In game 1, Mia Finvarb had 8 kills and 13 digs, Tiana Tolles added 8 kills and 8 digs, Sienna Rosenberg had 15 assists and 10 digs, Sophia Arcila had 20 digs, and Daniela Gonzalez added 19 digs.  In game 2, Tiana Tolles had 11 kills and 10 digs, Sienna Rosenberg added 15 assists and 7 digs, and Sophia Arcila had 3 aces and 10 digs.  In game 3, Tiana Tolles had 6 aces, 5 digs, and 5 kills, Paloma Deen added 3 aces and 5 digs, and Sienna Rosenberg had 9 assists, 2 aces, and 4 digs. In the championship game, Tiana Tolles led the way with 9 kills, 2 aces, and 10 digs, Sienna Rosenberg had 11 assists and 5 digs, and Sophia Arcila added 15 digs. The Varsity Volleyball Team (5-10) lost to Palmetto 27-25, 25-18, and lost to Gulliver 25-17, 25-18. Ashley Michelin led the way with 16 assists and 5 digs, Sasha Vaygensberg had 8 kills and 4 digs, Isabella Brod added 22 receptions and 8 digs, Brianna Lewin had 6 receptions and 7 digs, Sophia Brod added 4 digs, and Sophia Rosenberg had 4 kills. The Girls Junior Varsity Volleyball Team (3-6) lost to Key West 25-19 and 25-18, and lost to Doral Academy 25-17, 25-20.  In game 1, Nicolle Renteria had 3 kills and 2 blocks, Barbara Lins had 8 receptions and 6 digs, and Tatiana Blasky added 4 assists. Against Doral Academy, Nicolle Renteria had 4 kills and 3 blocks, Sophie Gill added 8 receptions and 2 digs, and Chiara Moura had 7 receptions.   A special thanks to the Cross Country and Football Teams.  They traveled to Feeding South Florida to take part in their annual Community Service Project. The Varsity Swimming results from Saturday will be in Tuesday’s update.
 
Today....There are no games, meets, or matches scheduled for today. 
 
On Tuesday......The Middle School and Varsity Swim Teams travel to Riviera Prep at 4pm, the Boys Golf Team participates in the Dade County Youth Fair all day, the Middle School (Varsity) Volleyball Team hosts University School at 5pm, and the Junior Varsity and Varsity Volleyball Teams travel to Oxbridge Academy at 4/5pm.
