In Friday’s Athletic Events…..The Boys Varsity Basketball Team (5-9) beat Somerset Central Miramar Academy 70-39. Nate Outten led the way with 21 points and 8 rebounds, Jordan Cooke added 16 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals, and Jasai Miles had 14 points and 4 rebounds. The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team (0-11) lost to Somerset Central Miramar Academy 52-22. Logan Traband and Dhillon Murphy each scored 6 points.

On Saturday…..The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (16-1) beat Florida Prep Academy 80-37. Emani Theodule led the way with 23 points, 6 steals, and 2 assists, Maria Alvarez had 15 points and 6 assists, Sydney Shaw added 13 points and 7 assists, and Koi Love had 9 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 assists. The Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team (1-10) hosted the Spartan Invitational. They lost to Florida Christian 35-10, lost to Palmer-Trinity 23-20, and lost to Westminster Christian 38-9. In game 1, Colin Freeman scored 6 points. In game 2, Nicolas Margarit led the way with 16 points, and Marcos Mellado and Julian Erz each added 2 points. Against Westminster Christian, Carson Goodman, Colin Freeman, and Marcos Mellado all scored 2 points.

Today….There are no athletic games or matches scheduled for today.

On Tuesday…….The Girls Varsity Soccer Team hosts American Heritage-Plantation at 5pm, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts Boca Christian at 7pm, and the Girls Middle School, Boys Middle School (JV), and Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Teams host Westminster Christian at 3:30/4:30/5:30pm. In addition, the Parents Association will be having a barbecue, so please come out and support our Spartans.
