In Tuesday’s Athletic Update…….Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Soccer Team (19-3-2). They beat Archimedean 8-0 in the Regional Finals. Amanda Martin led the way with 3 goals, Ava Hansen scored two goals, and Danielle Geathers, Sofia Nelcha, and Isabella Allen all added goals. The girls have qualified for the State semifinals for the 2^nd time in the program’s history. They will travel to Lakeland Christian School on Friday at 7pm, with the winner advancing to the State Championship game on Wednesday, February 21^st, at 7pm in Deland, Florida.

In other news…….The Girls Varsity Tennis Team (1-0) beat Riviera Prep 5-2. Allexii Bassette, Gabriela Martinez, Lolita Bell, and Danielle Bernstein all won their singles matches, and Julia Rose Siegler and Allexii won their doubles match. The Boys Varsity Tennis Team (1-0) beat Riviera Prep 7-0. Evan Meiselman, Harrison Breslow, Jackson Halliwell, Saavan Kamlani, and Jared Resnick all won their singles matches, and Milan Bass and Evan Meiselman, Morgan Weisberg and Harrison Breslow won their doubles matches. The Varsity Lacrosse Team beat Immokalee in a pre-season game 10-4. Ryan Finvarb led the way with 3 goals and an assist, Noah Reines and Zachary Hart each had 2 goals and an assist, Carlos Ortega, Jake Fishman, and Ben Horn all scored, Blaise Pronesti had 5 assists and won 9 of 14 face-offs, David Burger made 14 saves, and Richard Lovelace and James Dunbar each played well on defense. The Softball Team (0-1) lost to Colonial Christian 12-2. Michelle Yacobi led the way with 2 hits and a run scored, Saarah Rassif singled, Alicia Kelly scored a run, and Maryam Rassif, Abigail Cherenfant, and Arielle Germeus all played well in the outfield.

In Today’s Action……Good Luck to the Boys Varsity Soccer Team. They travel to Palmer-Trinity in the Regional Finals today at 3:30pm. The winner advances to the State Final Four on Saturday. Good luck to the Boys Varsity Basketball Team. They travel to Sagemont to play Hillel in the District Championship game at 7pm. The Boys Varsity Baseball Team hosts a Pre-Season Tournament today at 4 and 7pm. Krop plays Miami High at 4pm, and the Spartans host Hialeah Miami-Lakes at 7pm.
