In Wednesday Athletic Events…..The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (13-3-2) beat Coral Springs Charter 2-1.  Dre Medici and Pablo Gutierrez each scored, Khalil Winder and Nico Arriola added assists, and Liam Weil, Remy Cross, Daniel Dieppa, and Dylan Turk all played well. 
 
Congratulations to the following fall student-athletes who were recognized this morning in the Miami Herald as All-County selections….

Today…..The Girls Varsity Soccer Team travels to Hillel to play the Hurricanes in the District Championship at 7pm, the Girls Middle School Basketball Team travels to Carrollton in the South Florida Middle School Quarterfinals at 4pm, the Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Team travels to Florida Christian in the South Florida Middle School Conference Quarterfinals at 5:15pm, and the Boys Junior Varsity and Varsity Basketball Teams host Pine Crest at 6/7:30pm. 
 
On Friday……The Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts marathon in their ‘Senior Game” at 6pm. 
 
Coach O Court Dedication Ceremony - On Saturday, February 3rd, The Girls Varsity Basketball Team will host Florida Prep Academy in their annual “Senior Game” at 2pm.  Prior to the game,  Miami Country Day School will be re-naming the J. Calvin Rose Athletic Center basketball court - the “Court O Court” -  in honor of Coach Ochiel Swaby.  In his 13 years as head coach, Coach Swaby has guided his team to over 300 wins, 8 District Championships, 5 consecutive Regional Championships, 4 consecutive State Championships, and 2 Dicks National Championships.  In addition, we are asking all Spartan fans to wear your Country Day Spartan red as we "Red Out"  for Coach O and our seniors. The first 300 fans will receive a free "Red Out" t-shirt.   Please come out to support Coach O, the Girls Basketball Team, our seniors, and all of our Winter athletes.  Go Spartans!
