In Thursday’s Athletic Action….The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (9-2-2) beat Sagemont 4-2. Dre Medici led the way with 2 goals, Erik Pantin and Anthony Cervone each added a goal, Khalil Winder, Pablo Gutierrez, and Diego Oropeza Rodrigues all added assists, and Liam Weil and Daniel Dieppa each played well on defense. The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (9-7) beat Sagemont 68-10. Emani Theodule led the way with 12 points and 7 steals, Koi Love had 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 assists, Maria Alvarez had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists, and Milani McCormick had 7 points. The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team (7-3) beat Sagemont 58-27. Ryan Mendelson led the way with 14 points, Aidan Grimberg had 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Joshua Finvarb had 6 points and 7 steals. The Girls Varsity Soccer Team (12-3-2) beat Palmer-Trinity 5-0. Ava Hansen led the way with 2 goals, and Alyson Rodriguez, Amanda Martin, and Danielle Geathers all scored. The Boys Varsity Basketball Team (5-6) lost to Sagemont 47-29.
Today…..The Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts Archimedean at 5pm, the Boys Varsity Basketball Team travels to Grandview Prep at 4pm, and the Girls Varsity Basketball Team plays Palm Beach Lakes in the Martin Luther King Weekend Tournament at Hallandale High School at 6:30pm.
On Saturday…..The Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team hosts the Spartan Invitational starting at 9am, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team travels to Hallandale High School to play Fort Meyers High School at 8pm, the Girls Middle School Soccer Team travels to Gulliver to participate in the South Florida Middle School Conference Championships at 10:30am, and the Boys Middle School Soccer Team travels to Palmer-Trinity to participate in the South Florida Middle School Conference Championships at 10:30am.
In Wednesday’s Athletic Events….The Girls Middle School Basketball Team (4-10) lost to Carrollton 24-9. Rachel Hodes led the way with 4 points, 2 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, Ella Gilderman had 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals, and Chloe Fong added 2 points and 2 rebounds. The Boys Middle School Soccer Team (11-3-1) lost to Ransom Everglades 2-1. Augustin Kohen scored, and Stefano Dumas, Matthew Collins, Alan Bruckstein, Connor Sastre, Joseph Bassett, Lucas Hansen, Francesco Di Giuseppe, Rafael Urbina, Victor Destri, and Tommaso Figari all played well. The Girls Middle School Soccer Team (5-5-5) lost to Ransom Everglades 8-0. Lauren White made 14 saves and Lauryn Turk played well.
Today….The Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts Sagemont at 7pm, the Girls Varsity Soccer Team travels to Palmer-Trinity at 4pm, and the Boys Junior Varsity, Girls Varsity, Boys Varsity Basketball Teams host Sagemont at 4/5:30/7pm, The Parents Association will be hosting their Winter BBQ on Thursday, January 11th, starting at 3:30pm. Please come out and support your Spartans.
