In Wednesday’s Athletic Action.....The Girls Varsity Tennis Team (3-2) beat Oxbridge Academy 6-0. Allexii Bassette, Gabrielle Bassette, Lucia Burton, Brooke Kovacs, and Nina Vara won their singles matches, and Lucia and Allexii won their doubles match. The Boys Varsity Tennis match against Oxbridge Academy was postponed due to rain tied 2-2. Morgan Weisberg and Luca Donayre won their singles matches. The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (21-10) lost to Master’s Academy in the State Semifinals in overtime 76-70. Sydney Shaw led the way with 16 points, Milani McCormack had 15 points, and Olivia Delancy added 14 points. Congratulations to the girls and coaches on an outstanding season. The Varsity Baseball game against Ransom Everglades was postponed due to rain.
Today....The Girls and Boys Middle School Tennis Teams host Cushman at 3pm, the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts University School at 4:30pm, the Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Pines Charter at 7pm, the Middle School Water Polo Team hosts Riviera Prep at 5pm, the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team hosts Belen at 6pm.
On Friday.....The Girls and Boys Varsity Water Polo Teams host a tournament all day, the Girls and Boys Middle School Tennis Teams travel to Riviera Prep ((Kendall Town Tennis) at 3:30pm, the Girls and Boys Varsity Tennis Teams travel to Krop at 5pm (JCC), the Softball Team hosts Colonial Christian at 6pm, and the Varsity Baseball Team travels to Marathon at 6pm.
Games of the Week (Tuesday, March 3) .......Please come out and support this week’s “Spartan Pride Games of the Week” on Tuesday, March 3rd, as the Girls Varsity Water Polo Team hosts Alonzo Tracy Mourning High School at 5pm and the Boys Varsity Water Polo Team hosts ATM at 6pm.
Winter Sports Awards Ceremony....... Our Winter Sports Awards Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:30pm. We are asking everyone to report to the rooms listed below for individual and team recognition, as well as special awards. This ceremony should only last about 30-45 minutes, so please join us in celebrating the outstanding accomplishments our of Winter student-athletes and coaches.
