In Thursday’s Athletic Action.......The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (19-9) beat Florida Christian in the Regional Quarterfinals 72-16. Gianna Corbitt led the way with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals, Andrea Daley had 10 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 steals, Kristina Godfrey added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists, and 3 steals, and Sydney Shaw had 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. The girls will host St. Andrews in the Regional Semifinals on Tuesday at 7pm. The Girls Varsity Tennis Team (2-0) beat Vero Beach 5-2.Allexii Bassette, Gabrielle Bassette, Gabriela Martinez, and Brooke Kovacs all won their singles matches, and Morgan Dent and Brooke Kovacswon their doubles match. The Boys Varsity Tennis Team (0-2) lost to Vero Beach High School 7-0. The Varsity Baseball Team lost in a pre-season game to American High School 19-0.
Today......The Girls Varsity Soccer Team hosts Palmer-Trinity in the Regional Semifinals at 7pm, the Boys Varsity Basketball Team travels to Divine Savior to participate in the District Championship game at 7pm.
On Saturday.....The Boys Varsity Soccer Team travels to LaSalle High School to participate in the Regional Semifinals at 7pm.
All School T-Shirt Contest...... Show your Spartan Spirit by entering the ALL SCHOOL Spring Fling T-Shirt design competition! All entries are due to Mr. Sennett in his office in the SAC or via email on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 21. Voting for the best design will take place on Tuesday, February 25, and everyone in the whole school will get a free shirt with the winning design. Cool, right?!? Your design must be 8x11 and only one color. The shirts will be red and the words and design will be in white, so keep that in mind. Designs should show as much Spartan Spirit as possible and include the word “Spartan” or the Spartan logo. It must be appropriate for Spartans of all ages. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
