In Thursday’s Athletic Update.....The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (9-7) beat Pine Crest 62-16. Andrea Daley led the way with 10 points, 2 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 assists, Khadee Hession added 10 points and 3 steals, and Sydney Shaw had 8 points, 4 steals, and 4 assists. The Boys Middle School Soccer Team (10-4) beat Riviera Prep 3-2. Diego Rodriguez led the way with 2 goals and an assist, Dylan Meyer scored, Jhonny Mercado and Oscar Bergier added assists, and Henrique Markman, Lukas Hoerman, Gregory Meyer, Pedro Henrique Periera, and Max Manhire all played well. The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Team (9-2) lost to Pine Crest 58-41. Dhillon Murphy led the way with 20 points. The Boys Varsity Basketball Team (7-5) lost to Pine Crest 54-52. Jordan Cooke led the way with 12 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, Jasai Miles had 12 points and 11 rebounds, Marc Wendrow added 10 points, and Ryan Mendelson had 9 points.
Today.......The Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts Sagemont at 3:30pm, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team hosts St. Thomas Aquinas High School at 7pm, and the Girls and Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Teams travel to Florida Christian at 3:30/4:30pm.
On Saturday......The Boys Middle School (JV) Basketball Team hosts the Spartan Invitational starting at 9am (MCDS, True North Academy, Cushman, Palmer-Trinity), the Girls Varsity Basketball Team hosts IMG Academy at 5pm, and the Girls Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Basketball, and Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Teams participate in their annual Community Service Project at Feeding South Florida at 8:30am.
Spartan Pride Game of the Week.....Please come out and support our Boys Varsity Soccer Team in our “Spartan Pride Game of the Week” on Wednesday, January 15th, vs. Divine Savior at 7pm. We hope to see everyone there and please wear read to show your Spartan Pride.
