Tuesday, January 21, 2019:

In Friday’s Athletic Action…..The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (17-1 and ranked #2 nationally) beat Germantown Academy (ranked #25 nationally) 74-56.  Koi Love led the way with 29 points, 17 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocks, Sydney Shaw had 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals, and Maria Alvarez added 12 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. The Boys Varsity Basketball Team (6-10) beat Doctors Charter 57-53.  Nate Outten led the way with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and Jordan Cooke added 17 points, 6 assists, and 4 steals. The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (9-2-3) tied Jacksonville Bolles 2-2.  Diego Oropeza Rodrigues and Pablo Gutierrez Zapata each scored, Pedro Levi had an assist, and Daniel Dieppa and Ethan White each played well on defense.  The Girls Varsity Soccer Team (9-5-2) lost to St. Thomas Aquinas 2-0.  The Boys Junior Varsity Basketball (0-13) lost to Doctors Charter 62-35.  Logan Traband led the way with 13 points. 
 
On Saturday…….The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (18-1) beat Neumann Goretti (Philadelphia) 63-43. Koi Love led the way with 21 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, Maria Alvarez had 15 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds, Emani Theodule added 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists, Sydney Shaw had 6 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, and Jayda Theodule added 6 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds.   The Boys Varsity Soccer Team (9-2-4) tied Fletcher High School (ranked #33 nationally) 0-0.  Diego Oropeza Rodrigues, Pablo Gutierrez Zapata, Ethan White, Remy Cross, and Anthony Cervone all played well. 
 
Today……The Girls Varsity Soccer Team hosts University School in their “Senior Game” (Livestreamed Event) at 5pm, the Boys Varsity Soccer Team hosts University School in their “Senior Game” (Livestreamed Event) at 7pm, and the Boys Varsity Basketball Team hosts University School at 7:30pm.
 
Winter Senior Games/Red Out: Please come out, pack the stands, wear RED, and support our seniors on the dates listed below – our Spartan athletes would appreciate it.
