Over Break…..The Girls Varsity Basketball Team (14-1) (ranked #2 in the nation by USA Today) won the Naples Holiday Shootout Tournament by beating Holy Innocents (Georgia) 68-51, Forest Park (Georgia) 70-54, and Beaver Dam (Wisconsin) in the championship game 52-43.  In game 1, Maria Alvarez led the way with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals, Koi Love had16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals, Emani Theodule added 16 points and 3 steals, and Karina Gordon had 6 points.  In game 2, Maria Alvarez had 23 points, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds, Koi Love had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 steals, and Sydney Shaw added 8 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds.  In the championship game, Koi Love led the way with 19 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals, Maria Alvarez had 12 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals, Sydney Shaw added 11 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, Milani McCormack had 6 points and 2 assists, and Emani Theodule had 4 points and 3 rebounds.  The Girls Varsity Basketball Team beat Stuart Country Day 74-25, Norland 72-25, and Blanche Ely 65-31.  Against Stuart Country Day, Koi Love led the way with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks, Emani Theodule had 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists, Maria Alvarez had 8 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals, Sydney Shaw added 6 rebounds and 5 assists, Kristina Godfrey had 8 points and 3 assists, and Isabella Guevara had 8 points.  In the Norland game, Koi Love led the way with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks, Sydney Shaw had 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals, Emani Theodule added 10 points and 3 rebounds, and Karina Gordon had 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.  Against Ely, Koi Love had 25 points and 22 rebounds, Maria Alvarez added 19 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals, and Sydney Shaw had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.  The Boys Varsity Basketball Team (4-8) beat Divine Savior 65-53, but lost to Edison 71-66, lost to Westwood Christian 61-57, and lost to Ferguson 63-53 .  In the Divine game, Jasai Miles led the way with 20 points and 14 rebounds, Nate Outten had 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Jordan Cooke added 13 points and 5 assists.  Against Edison, Jordan Cooke had 21 points and Nate Outten added 17 points.  Against Ferguson, Evan Mendelson had 16 points.

On Tuesday, The Girls Middle School, Boys Middle School (JV), and Boys Middle School (Varsity) Basketball Teams hosts University School at 3:30/4:30/5:30pm, the Girls Varsity Basketball Team hosts Schoolhouse Prep at 7:30pm, and the Boys Varsity Soccer Team travels to Coral Springs Charter at 4:30pm.
