Athletic Director:

Chuck Sennett has been a member of the Miami Country Day School community since 1992, first as a math teacher and baseball/football coach, and has been Athletic Director since 2003. A native of Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, Chuck participated in football, basketball, and baseball at Burrell High School. He went on to attend Barry University (Miami Shores), where he served as the baseball team’s starting second baseman from 1986-1989. Chuck is married to Jennifer, an Upper School Physical Education teacher at MCDS, and they have four children that attend the school, Taylor, Griffin, Logan, and Tanner.
Associate Athletic Director:

Bryan Parizo graduated from Colchester High School in Vermont, where he played basketball, soccer, and baseball. He later earned his Bachelor Degree from the University of Vermont, participating on the collegiate level in both basketball and soccer. Bryan has been Lower School Physical Education teacher since 1988, and since 2003 as the School’s Assistant Athletic Director. In addition, he also coaches Boys Varsity Basketball and Golf. Bryan is married to Michele, teacher at MCDS, and has two children, Brandon and Kaylee.
Middle School Athletic Director:

Chris Hayes has been a member of the Miami Country Day School community since 1991, as a social studies teacher and cross country/track coach. Chris is a native of Schenectady, New York. Chris participated in football, cross country, and track at Masuk High School in Monroe, Connecticut. He went on to attend Barry University (Miami Shores), where he ran cross country from 1984-1985. Chris is married to Tanya.
Assistant Athletic Director:

B.J. Teltsher attended Miami Country Day School for 12 years, graduating in June of 1993. He participated in football, soccer, basketball, track, and baseball for the Spartans, receiving First-Team All-County honors in football his junior and senior seasons. B.J. earned his Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and Sociology at the University of Miami, while receiving a minor in Theatre. He serves as one of the School’s Assistant Athletic Directors, MS girls basketball coach.
Director of Aquatics:

Megan Pittman has been appointed the new Director of Aquatics for Miami Country Day School, effective March 19, 2012. Previously, Megan was Director of Marketing & Advertising at the American Swimming Coaches Association in Fort Lauderdale. Megan brings talent and experience in coaching, managing, and leading programs for competitive swimming at the club, school and university levels to Miami Country Day. Under the leadership of Megan Pittman, Miami Country Day School will have new programs established in aquatics for all divisions of the school. Megan received her J.D. with a concentration in Sports Law from the University of Missouri School of Law and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Head Athletic Trainer

Michelle Cordero was born in Puerto Rico and attended the University of Connecticut, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. She received her Master’s Degree from Florida International University in 2008. Michelle has been our Athletic Trainer since 2008.
Administrative Assistant

Melisa Brown played basketball and ran track and field as a High School Athlete in her native country, Puerto Rico. Melisa is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Massage teacher, and her two sons have attended the school since 2005.
