Summer Reading

Requirements for History and English:
This summer rising 6th-12th graders will read three books (minor exceptions for some Upper School courses are explained in the lists). Assignments should be diligently completed by the first day of classes of the 2010-11 academic year. Students should bring relevant materials to class on the first day.

Students taking AP Spanish Literature will have slightly modified assignments and should thus consult Ms. Pearson and Dr. Sowell about required work.

Requirements for Math:
Individual teachers in the Upper School may require summer work for students entering their respective courses. Any summer work in math will be provided to the student by school’s end and must be completed as instructed by the individual teacher. New students to MCDS should contact the Upper School to find out if they need to complete any summer work. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dan Bronish, Math Department Chair, at 305-759-2843 (ext. 266) or by email at bronishd@miamicountryday.org.
