The mission of Miami Country Day School’s Financial Aid Program is to ensure qualified students can attend our school without regard to financial circumstances. Once a student is accepted to Miami Country Day School, we try to ensure every student admitted can financially afford to attend.

Financial aid priority is given to Upper School applicants. If funds remain, we would then evaluate those students applying to grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. It is extremely rare that enough funds would be available for a lower school student to be considered so we do not encourage a family of a lower school or early childhood applicant to apply for financial aid.

Financial aid awards are given based on financial need and availability of funds without regard to race, color, religion, ethnic origin or disability. Once a family is given financial aid, we ask that they continue to apply each year unless their financial circumstances change significantly. Our goal is to continually support a student once they have been accepted and offered need-based financial assistance.

Just like each applicant is unique, each family's financial situation is also unique. Miami Country Day School partners with TADS, which assists schools in making financial aid decisions. This assessment considers a family's income, savings, assets and liabilities, as well as any special circumstances. Much of the information they request is found on a family's 1040 Internal Revenue Service form and W-2 wage statement.

Financial aid applications will be available in November 2019. For new families, you must complete the TADS process by January 8th, 2020and the admissions application process by January 31st, and returning family financial aid applications are due December 6th, 2019.

Please contact the Admission & Financial Aid Office if you have questions or need additional information about our financial aid program or the process. The application process for financial aid is completely confidential. We welcome your questions and thank you for your interest in our school. We can be reached via our e-mail address, admissions@miamicountryday.org or by telephone at 305-779-7230.
